Why We Cry

Tune in lets sin a song known since we were born
Yeah we fell from graces palms but yeah we read it all
An army was led and what was our command
Direct this onslaught towards the Holy land
So with pleasure we laughed and charged
Our mission to reconnect the towers tear down the walls
Oh you’re dressed in sultry attire
A mask over head to cover material sorrow
A cap on top head to limit thy power
Faith they say have it or drown
Well my darling my dear we sank yesterday
We will sink tomorrow
That makes two separate days that we wasted away
Drank in by the sea on the floor we preserved decay
Yeah, we said goodnight
Yeah, we meant goodbye
And it is obvious love has died
And it is why we all cry
So cry and cry and baby goodbye
Our mother still sighs and tells us she will take us
If we continue to lie with lovers using love to explain reasons why
Their heartbreak can be used to justify wars
To justify purging to justify whores
To justify justice and look to a judge
Who slept with the juror who slept on his coz
Cause in the End?
All we wanted was a break
A break from the norm
A break from our fate
Garnished in a pull known only
In this moments sweet place
We were taught from our start
Only in moment we find grace
So we listened and laughed and jumped ship just to taste
Angels will hold us and we will squeeze rocks till there is wine
Just to prove the reckless love we had, the one you prolonged via time
We did this for you and you did this for us
Both shameless in words both shameless in lust
And our shame you say is that we required knowledge?
We only required trust that we could repay in homage
And here we stand sharing CO2 with fellow man
And H20 bombs spread across our lands
Ensuring the Peace with a button on war
And we laugh and hear music attached to times' score
We will end it now and here if it seems fit
Because God knows we are tired for he sparked our wit.
