Lightness in Dark

Carrying lightness in the dark
Is like reflecting pieces of your heart
Letting the World see
Twenty eight phases you claim to be

Yet when there is none
Where is the Sun
Showing your incandescent glow

It is only then you are missed
When still the waves do hiss
Upon the rocks
With foam and soul

I'll tell you one thing
When your in full bloom and swing
The hordes and the masses
All tend to sing
Of your glory and offspring

But if you turn cold
A rare blue and old
They cower like fear is their dear friend

Only with wax of a candle light
Do they dare courage and plight
One of unsheltered care
In full knowledge a wane is soon near
To show nothing this surreal
In essence is real

In keeping timed position
There is no worry of disposition
Aimed at the billions watching you float

In Eons of Earth turning
No matter their yearning
A true darker side never was shown

For what does a mortal
Know of the eternal heart-flow
Of a barren wasteland
Bombarded with stones shoveling sand
Keeping small progress
With unneeded knowledge
That if shadow is lost
Then so is the ground.
