Turning Dawn

Come let us allow the springs’ essence to lightly sweep us away
with the tides of a new moment in transition taking us back
away from the cold and into the crevasses of eternal light
clean and rosy entrusted to the beauty of everlasting traversing flight

Into the summer we will travel you and I, hand in hand with each other
warmth steadily heating the palms of our choices with a small light dew
softening the summer heat into pale moments of remembrance flitted
like the birds dancing  upon the winds of intertwining moments replayed

And in the fall we shall muse at the way she sheds all cares not withholding
pruning the growth and beauty long overdue, our memories too unfolding
passing with the fallen leaves to cushion the steps of the soft and the hard
movements matched that echoed the ground, tapping keeping time and rhythm

Back to the place where we first met in the winter, those cold days with only two
immortal frames next to each other nestled for warmth, the clouds denied the sun
offering remorse for a season which encapsulated both, but did not hold on forever
for the frost did thaw and ran like the brook from the rivers and ravines, turning dawn.

The White Rose

The foolish trust is in the white rose
Time and time again
When the winter months bear harshness
Or the summer sun brings rain
On a parallel cliff you stumble
Knowing what truth is flight
If only the rose would open
Producing all of its delight
The rush begins with musing
The walk is full and light
The blight is non existent
For the lovely rose is right
And across the valleys, and among the seas
The stars do shine, and the moon does plead
But where does the attention go,
Skyward holding the rose to show
Not a leap of faith but a flight unknown
Into the unavoidable parts below,
Fear trembles, trembles freely transform
What was simple obstacle is triumph found.

Frostfire

Cold fire wafts through the ajar window
Streaming down your frame
Surrounding and touching a hanging pain
Spinning wildly like the flame
Hovering like a soul
The spirit of the universe stole
This essence true
Except when you are here
That is when I pursue
So far from the ideal
We all idol appeal
Yet once there
It is so true
And with you
There is no remorse
Yelling still stay
I’m sorry
‘Till the throats’ hoarse
So what’s new
Only the deepening and heights
With the same hurt pleasure
Selfish thrown dice
Made once
Sold twice
Fleeting feelings price
And oh so true
Yeah I miss you.

Liberation

You ask me a question
I know the answer but cannot say
Like the mist and the rain
We try to cleanse the wound
Yet others know quite well
The desert is just simple and plain
Compared to the sound of abyss
There is measure
There is pain.

A Salient Song

A salient song
To the soul it clings
Creations from the shore
Across the waters
Passing dreary horrors
Turning into timeless tales
Of this seems the truth
That spiders and scarabs
Reaching from youth
Honest handcraft fears
Questions in the grip of the hold,
Embracing dearest tempered memories
With a mere hope
Wrought rusty restriction
Plans prints with distinction
Spiraling uphill evermore
Towards the branches that fall
Tumbling with call
From the soul below beckoning on
It is for the standard
Or the faintest idea
Commanding or drawing
A finger arranging near
Aside the lilac sweet face
That same breath which flaws
Such a perfect impoverished perfection
Drenched in deep stemmed reflection
Caught clutching with a glance
A silver clearing inside bursts;
An outside salutation thirsts.

Sideline

Desolation falls
This hurts like the wind
Brushed hard upon walls
In the darkness a call
A caravan whips
To the brimstone it claws
Hollowed and thin
What is evil?
What is sin?
Compared to the shared nature
One cannot have
Jostled on the sideline
Awaiting the task
There cannot be more whole
If there could depart from this mold
Enough! Enough
The spirit is dust
The ashes they blow
Lackluster cusps
Understand fate, glad
Actions speak
Louder are words
Lovingly placed at the nape
Sidelined and all.

Bright Eyes

A period of grace, leaves, the face
Love of gentle splendor; with the true eye.
Perceptions of glory (of this facet the eternal spring)
Beings sing; with countless tales too.

Hence forth a will to do, is this love?

Unending and forever a spiral of courage
Pursuing itself, not a thing lost…
         Evermore found.

Gifts and restlessness
Aside and sustained,

The soul of the divine much more giving
Semblance with mind, of thee the brightest eyes shine.

A Soldier in the Street

Standing there in the darkness of the setting sun
A comrade had just fallen by the arrow
Things that are cut out for this
Trade and commerce skill and labor
A means to survive while doing what is close to the heart
And here sent to rectify the news brought
The drought that was commanded and a part of
The best soldier in all the land and the one meant
Which landed in a heart.

Quivered by the thought and facing another
And another, a sign for evil to lay waste on
Foretold this too, in the own country
No fear though, for the divine guides sight
The least one can be is true
All else would be up to the chosen
Away from here, stolen.
