Time

In the land before time
There stood a young boy
Alone in the dark
Without even the slightest spark
So he looked deep within
Until he found the glistening thing
And with his gem he created everything
The pressure was passive
But the point was small
And it granted a spark
For every lifeless doll
Animation from movement
The original cause
Left us to be within him
And him to be ours
The showers at night
Who is it to say
Are they not her tears
Washing the Heavens each day
The story could continue
Until we drop the ball
The question remains
Will we let this one fall?
The past, present, and future
Are home to us all
Some chose to use it
Some have pride that’s too strong
Although our mother
Seems so far away
Each day outside reminds us
She is in front
Behind
Above and below
Each way.
