Subtle Minerals

A face can travel through time
A soul is a moving force
A balance can be attained
Through grievance and remorse
How forgiving are the hours
Set hard on granite stone
Rocks and heavy boulders
Can minerals atone?
Then there are the ashes
Also structured bone
Resting on the pile of earth
Resting now at home
Life is subtle like the rain
Upon the blade of grass sustained.
