F'our Gemstone

The exception to the rule
Which a mortal eye can’t see
Is deep beneath a mountain
Washed over by the sea
Where the air and sun collide
Sparks a fire from the tide
Marveling at a gemstone
Born of nature’s pride
A Ruby is what they call it
A name that cannot be
A Ruby is trapped by letters
And a gleam is what I see
An Emerald is green with envy
A vice which one implores
A Diamond is a prism
Trapped by nature’s floor
A Sapphire emanates each color
Always shifting from its own
A Ruby is a mountains Hearth
Carried from Burma stone
And when the Sun and Ruby collide
All that – was – is – will be shown
Both blood and Heaven’s radiance
Has assured us what was known.
