The Nile

If I could set your thoughts on fire
I would do it with a twist
One of pleasure unending
Forever lasting bliss
To get lost in the words
Would prove only half the fun
Inside a mind burning bright
Around each revolving sun
If I could make you blink like time
Rest like the palms of the leaves
Back and forth upon the wind
Swaying around with ease
Spiraling onwards into light
Both laying undercover
Our creations lasting near the brink
Not knowing what’s discovered
There a place beyond the words I say
Where the Nile still runs
And temples lay
Abound by creations score
Holding onto day.
