Pistol

Like the essence of air
Drafts a sweetness eager to share
Honey tasting breeze
Combing through hair

Like the spring step
Of a paper dragon
Worked up by fire
In cooperation of joyous feet

Like the clever eastern child
Beaming with pride
The honor of his families lineage
Beams in his soul

So does the lovers sweet dance
Through cooling romance
Reflected upon the pond
Beneath moonlit glance
Mirror both paths
Of the flower's pistil and stamen
Shown.

Charade

To be ready is like a loaded gun
With the hair of a trigger
Between eternal life and fun
Fun or immortal vision
With the weight of the World
Your concerning decision
A condition of no stable matter
No concrete choice
Just emotional scatter
The brain using logic
To reason what’s whole
An in depth analysis
Parts of snow in the cold
A blanket of frost
Preserving decay
As you hold onto delusions
That shift with the day
To stay stagnant can suffocate
Even a fish
Fishing upon the sea
An old man in the mist
The midst of destruction
Of trouble
Of toil
Rose colored glasses
Perceiving a myriad door
With stained glass creation
There is an elegant trade
Give yourself to your art
Work without charade.

5 Times

Have you ever prayed
Five times a day
Up with the dawn
As if to say
Here I am
Take my hand
Work with me
Tirelessly and slow
Have you ever bent down
Starred at the ground
With your back parallel to the shore
The high noon Sun kissing your toe
Have you ever knelt down
At five o’ clock sharp
Begging for mercy with your head
Your heart
Submitting with third eye floored
Perhaps you have counted patience
With beads or on trees
But did you know the fingers show
A more convenient way to proceed
Through the evening hours
Repeating powers
Of words given to us
Sewed
And right before bed
Your union had wed
One last consolation
With the one you love so.

Summer Delights

Tasting the finest delights summer air
Fireflies roaming and warming what’s near
Wisps of the flowers scented clean fair
Foreign stars aligned upon maps over stairs
A blanket of earth covering sharp bladed ground
Insects mingling in whispering paths clear of sound
Clever small children running with day
Soft hearted adults musing at the wonders at play
A sugary pond by a manor conclave
With a mother of ducklings showing the way
A fish breaking surface letting shore be known
With blue green algae accepting the flow
A delicacy springs through air with surprise
Attempting small shows where its sustenance flies
In heart wrenching moments ideas wear their disguise
As conversations spark as to where it all lies
The debate carries on all through the night
Exchanges of experience education and insight
When all is done and the rum through pours run
The delights in mixed languages and a variety of tongues
A hearty meal from South America to Singapore
Life lessons padded on bellies from the top to the floor
With vibrant stories mixed in good fashion
Such as a harp players love or a conductors sweet passion
The concerto of summer soon draws her soft poise
A humming interlude from a singer’s dear voice
The choir matches the pitch and the audience rejoices
All of nature beholds precision and purpose.

Awe

The road to awe is paved with this intent
A vision and a scene of your full extent
Placing the seed from the branch deep below
Testing your faith and just how far you will go
Through life times doors you often do clamor
The glamour the fame befits you with manners
Mirrored only by the World you know whole
Inhaling a breath from the stories you’re told
Climbing the tree with blisters swollen hands
Soon falling asleep on the softest broad branch
The veins of skin and the walls of bark
The hollow of feelings of scars left their mark
A quest through the sea for legends foretold
Accompanied by none touched by flaming sword
A fight by the night to cure a disease
Kneeling by bedside clasped hands pressed upon knees
The road to awe is not run with bright gold
It is rich with crimson and clear salty cold
Drawing you closer to conscious sweet shift
Counting the hours and seconds of life’s bliss.

The Cork Tree

My dear please stay near
Don’t wander too far
Only your keystone may
Interpret stanzas and bars
Holding a place
A grid glowing space
Charging one thousand atoms
Magnifying thoughts fathomed
From afar
With streaks of the stars
Aligned in chase
Moving such grace
Planets coincide
Beaming their pride
Illustrious glow
Molding life down below
Even a two step
A waltz and a gown
Your dress painted stars
Lights near your crown
The only twinkle resounding
From the eyes of the candles
Your thoughts and your ideas
From the chandelier dangle
The ringing of toasts
A celebration near
Corks shooting angels
Soaring through air
Drinking in moments
A momentous gamble
Drunk or sober
I love you
And your pink sandal.

Second Life

A quiet rolls in on the eastern front
Bellowing smoke and clouds slowly consuming sky
A mixture of drunk heat and weariness casts a spell
A heady high of cold remorse anger and hunger
Upon the shore the men and women brace for impact
Necks lashing forward in a fraction of a second
Recoiling for seconds after impact at the eye
There is a calm and a repulsion knocks senses back
The front end damage vivid
The wastes of the rear sighting dilemma
A shining sight this travesty of a second lifetime
At least none are hurt.

Revel

I miss you the most
When I can hardly breath
Inhaling a bit to suffocate need
I hear you in voices that tend to trail
Like the copper leaves of autumn filling the air
As everything turns to golden and brown
I miss you with the cool wind placed on my brow
Inhaling the slow cooling breath of summers seer'
I miss you like branches shedding their cares
Caring for you is a thoughtless sweet crime
Locking me up between cold and warm shine
Crunching my hard feet patter on ground
Lifting my eyes your thoughts lifting my frown
Caressing both need and the mind
Pushing me forward through hardship through time
Placing me precariously presenting me too
Shooting ideas off and inspiring you
Looking around I see your small flights
Understanding much not daring the fight
The heat of the Sun has made things quite right
The Seraphs continue to revel in light.

Clara

Laying like hazardous waste on the floor
Decaying half life carbon dating restored
Amplify magic to see what’s in store
Beneath my bare feet wine cellars galore
Rusted screw in my brain removing knowledge
You give me a thought hidden in homage
You are the one secret I never had sold
The gift stuck with me till Heaven’s untold
I approved the Dna signature matching your own
As I watched you balance two feet on dark stone
Only us three stole away from that night
I the lucky gentlemen we both held your flight
Even so careless for days we had lasted
Fury and passion ignited and fastened
I balanced a football between shards of glass
You witnessed from sidelines praying with gasps
I think that’s when I knew you’d be my downfall
It took years for you to even answer my call
Still we do talk behind blurred lines
Your school was art
My school was mind
And darling before any
Know it was you
Who destroyed my element ego
Yet fixed me anew
They’ll never know a name
Only your goddess design
A drink mixed with fantasy
So refreshing so kind.

Breakdown

Dimensions untold
Truth is I'll have to get back to you
Realizing your form
This is probably just a game for you too
So secret so firm
I'll bend the will
Break the blue
A shocking resolve
Dissolving every bit you thought you knew
So say I want you
Exactly like your used too
I'll be content in breaking you down
Diving so fast your head spins around
And when I want you
Please say I want too
Darling I am only attempting to show you
Breaking down
The new girl with thrills
Shipping all the fellows too soon
Anchored in love
Love has an opposite too
Saying I want you
All the ways we could do
Yeah I think I'll enjoy this little bit
This breaking down.
