The Mountain

A grain of sand can move mountains
You gave me even your share, a mountain moved
I never thought, perhaps you never thought
It was possible and it was overcome
Rebirth is a funny thing, to our trivial minds
It is all calculated, I promise you this
My faith was a grain of sand
You moved it by being the only thing you knew
I cannot say the reasons why, but like me
You take to the wind and ride, it helped me smile
Just a bit more, the clincher is if we can adore
Each facet the way the Universe does, all our ails
Would be solved, this however takes time
And in the back of my mind, though my vision short
Wisdom told me lie, sleep and awake it would all be over
When the Sun rose again, after this dark night we both ventured on
Nearing complete whole, not a black dog, nor dark raven upon the door.

Points, Marks

I asked your ways and sat, bemused
As If I could ever remark or accuse
Of some semblance of peace of mind
Although egos do intersect our goal
Inspiring and to say wild was nomenclature
Things to do became just things.
I thought I loved everything given to me
This was a portion of karma I talked about
In notebooks or self debates, but to love
And to know the difference between
Joy and Sorrow, carried me like wings
Upon feet, I understood what a glimpse felt like
It is the half way point mark, with no end.

Stay

Stay child like with me
Through the placid frozen months
Try to remember the least amount of cares
Stay as a young one lost in the thumping of rain
Upon the rooftops with the caressing of the wind
Stay entrapped by the free feeling moments lost
Forever a newly born artist into a world of form
Crafting forms in enigmatic manners
Discovering at every chance.

Becoming

Around the table we all sit
The memories all pieced together
The last of the years’ recount in joy
All is welcome and accepted at this point
Why things cannot always be like this is beyond
All of our comprehension necessitates, more so
Becoming is useful and joy becomes of use
To us, finally there becomes a way
To say here is your reward.

Beautiful Trust

All the love in the World seems to flow
Through my veins and through my thumbs
My fingers bare against the strings, to express
The warmth you give me and I feel inside like spring
Your love helps all to flourish inside the cold winter months
This expression of caring and tender touch, could only come along
From the Universal soul in cusp, setting my soul on fire with beautiful trust.

Florence

In mid air the vase falls
To the ground, and the honest
Means unlocks all, it is you
Who have unhinged my soul
And took it to a place worth so much
More openings are found, and the maybe
Perhaps becomes, a sudden yes, of course
Let this coarse run like the brooks along the side
Of rivers which race wild with your rush of love
I drink slowly and realize more, there is a constant
Score replaying and the smile and heart of a fool
Yes, I am here with you, the astrology of the sky
Consorted and pulled two signs to each other
Both illuminating and flourishing like the art of Florence.
The vase strikes the ground, and I laugh with my whole heart.

Inspiration in the Desert

Inspiration knocked and I calmly answered
Overjoyed with a friend I haven’t seen
So long the days did pass that just went
Nearly did I forget even how to miss, the silence
This type, never to be wished upon any, but one knew
So like the last drop in the desert I pursued
Dizzy and worn, but with faith there is responsibility
Thus my responsibility was great, I would fall back
I claimed and with trust be caught, knowing the strength
Of the one thing I claimed I also was, how I could not fathom
Like a phantom love snuck, but with no ill intent, just warmth
The winters brought to me what the summers could not
And I found how the desert could long for the rain.

And I Love

If I could think through all my lives
Of all the things I would want from your eyes
It would be desire to know me more, and I to know you
Through the good and bad, constancy to know even if sad
You will be there with a knowing smile and joy and nothing more
Than the hope and faith of the words of both the Creator and your own thoughts
Trusting yourself to trust in me, in us, and our ability to know each other more each day.

Mistletoe

I am melting into the hours
Non sequential and forever longing
For the moments that sit apart from space
Which form around us like the snow which blankets all.
With our warmth and love, there are reasons that don’t
Require much reasoning, because there is the essence of love
Holding us together and hanging above; everywhere is mistletoe.

Winter's Rush

On a cold winter day like today
The trees seem to sleep and not yet to lay
There is no fire in the sky seen
The clouds have surpassed even the heavens
Light does shine but the source is unknown
The freckles on the pond quiet and low
Winter kills softly to remind us
Each to themselves but constantly frigid
The light of a new day may not shine
Until once ready a rush down the spine.

Crickets

We look to the greatness within us
And we scorn it as it taunts with happiness
Like a child with a new toy on a special day
We forget the moment and get lost
In depth too much and forgetting how Godly
We truly are, to craft and be precise
Every time too, and the circles
Only extend to more acceptance
More permanence and understanding
Like the water from a pipe in a run down street
The flow does not cease until one recognizes
Even that too is trying to sustain
A cricket chirps not to hear itself
But to call to others.

The Lost

I sign my name with the loops of the only constant I know
The moon rolls with the sun into my room, I stare struck
Yet the thoughts of the desert still linger, it has been like this
Although before I mused, this time I acknowledged and waited
It seems familiar to me as you comment this is a work of the Lord
In the sand we once said, behold the glory, and all understood
Behold the power and wonder of eternity smiling at you
I ask where is the closet nectar to remind me of the fruits of old
Labor is given to the man to acknowledge his place as architect
Always building symbols, and taking a split second to wink
There are no dry eyes in the house, for the rain fails to quench
One million Worlds thrown asunder and replaced by our hands.

Snow Storm

It lay there glittering in the sun and frozen
I dared not touch it, for I would freeze too.
How could I depart from the heart that was mine?
Now it was of the Earth, to retake it would be a form of death
And cold, very near impossible cold, to recover that piece
The snow claimed its token, and I nodded
Someone else would find where to carry this
Sterling in pocket, to new lands untold
It would make them grow the way I did
For I feared to attach it back to me, I wore it too long
With too much pride. Oh how their eyes glittered
Not understanding, or understanding too much, with a smile.
It took years to decipher, and now it was in the cold.

Same Ideas

Through the Black hole
Through the black hole again
A new universe, yanked, pulled
What now? A fresh look
Same Ideas, Same principles
I checked the manual
Natal to cattle, I think that was the plan
Until freedom spoke
Yeah I can try that, but to what extent
Something like that could take a lifetime.

The Mountain
Atop the mountain there is a breeze blowing
Filling my lungs with life force, being one, knowing
I pull in and release, each breath my one lung
Of the cosmic, feeding me continuously
You ask me from miles away am I happy
I reply with a reverberation, “I have been here long”
I waited, still smiling.

Junction

We met at the crossroads
You claimed you had no choice
I claimed I did, I must proceed
The decision was made, accordingly
Maybe it’s been a long time at this
Perhaps, always perhaps.
Judgment goes with accordance
At the junction point we had it better
And we knew it.

Foresight

Unrelinquished and stubborn
Yeah you’re right
Uncontrolled unsettled
Yeah I guess that’s foresight
In the forest by the brook you wait
With a black clothed arm under the white
The weight of the World it seems
I see the World through your eyes
That’s real and what some call surprise
Still I have confidence that pulled up quickly
Like a traveler always spotting the quickest cab
Taking that fading yellow light; even in the rain
Things do not last, they grow, but that amount
The trade off is immeasurable, Hopeful, Untold
Who takes more risks, our Worlds further apart
Yet closer than maybe even either can understand
The rays shine even brighter over the mountain
Upon the darkest nights.

Sick Leave

My dear,
I saw you laying there and came to inquire
the fire that burned beneath your skin
was it for life, or love or to reach desire.
I would require not much and have to nurse
in the cold, thinking of what recipe would I use
to bring you back from the brink of your bodies toll.
I could console and tell you my soul and hope to the gods
I could tell you another day more of the adventures
we both share, although different, leading new
streets, approaching different ties, but although different beds
secluded in knowledge, transforming lies, perhaps with song
and with words I could chill your fever and brighten your smile
or cold limbs replying only like the wise. Kings of old know not in their
many illustrious wives, of how much it means to see you there
in the bed comprised, of my love, embers in the rain, not yet drenched
evening temperature in the world, my hands holding your head
in all simplicity quiet and noticing your curls.

Chopped Sushi

Sushi,
with rice raw fish
to me the cut is marvelous,

how can life prove itself
so hedonistic we are
but it is just fish, in an age past
like a man gone out to feed mouths
of the little ones swimming in the ocean
I understand sushi, I can eat this, someone else can
also. I will try most and learn to like what will provide.

A Glorious Gift

Singing in tune with the universe
matching the tones of each string
tested by a measurement system
counting sound, frequency, waves.
You sound nothing like the trees of Japan
however your fury makes up for the peace.
Reverberations through air ring more clear, crisp
I can breathe. The perfect sound does exist!
I can match it, with control. A glorious gift.

Back to Back

She wrote it down
in ink that stained the soul
forever. Remember me.
I did but the equation didn't last
in this unstable universe. Hide.
She hid it away.
I could have searched but I knew
where it was, behind her back,
I always could see, although she knew
she cared not. The contest was not about
this or that, creation, enslavement, or
even rainy days. It was about the thing
that was hidden behind her back.
I stood guarding it, with a feather.
